Well, you see... you can't nominate people for Threads of the Week, since the segment is for.... you know... threads.  For that matter, you can't nominate monkeys, wallpaper, zebras, rocks, musical instruments, toast, automobiles, Baby Ruths, shards of glass or telephone poles for Threads of the Week, either...

Anyway, only the moderators have the privilege to decide what's TOTW worthy or not...
