Cloning... Yay or Nay?

I say yes, but only for scientific research, if we clone everyone the world would become too crowded, but cloning is good for scientific research, we could learn more about how genes work and other stuff along those lines.

So you're saying to create another "person" just to use them for science experiments and maybe even kill them for the same reason?

To me, cloning a whole person or animal is wrong. I believe in souls, and that's something that's only God-given. I don't like the idea of doing it because scientists will think that they're so much smarter than ever and try to do something else just as stupid. Ignorance is bliss.

That doesn't answer the question of the topic, make your posts longer if you wish to post in the debate den.
That goes for all of you aswell.

Cloning is bad when it involves humans, cloning animals WE made extinct isn't a bad idea.
Cloning organs to save lives is a good idea also.
But cloning a full person for no medical purpose is wrong.

That post did not add anything relevant to the topic Williambob, next time you post something, make sure it has information that is at least related to the topic.
All of you, please, make your posts longer than one sentance...otherwise it'll just be pointless to post.
I've already made my statement more than once, so I can't say anymore.

How can you clone something that doesn't exist?

If you mean splicing DNA to re-create an extinct species, then I don't think that's fine either.  The animal is extinct for a reason.  Some extinct animals could have been extremely ferocious, maybe so much so that we couldn't control them.  I mean, think about it.  Do you want an enraged wooly mammoth destroying stuff?

You say that as a joke, but there are actually scientists who looked into creating a wooly mammoth from the DNA of a frozen mammoth and a modern elephant.  It never happened, though.

I don't know if someone mentioned this already, so sorry if I repeated it.
