To all those blinded by public/private education:  Racism exists.  Racism has always existed in America.  Racism does not have to exists in the future.

On that note, I congradulate Kayne West for not being another segment of the Corporate machine, and for not being "politically correct", and not being "sensitive to a delicate situation", and for telling it as he sees it is.

Edit:  I also congradulate the man or woman at the censorship button in the studio (there is a few second lag on every public broadcast to allow for instant censorship in the event of a "mishap".) for letting it air.

I know racism exists and you see it MORE in public schooling, but I get tired of hearing about it. Thats what I meant. I'm NOT racist and I'm going to say that once and only once. Agreed, its nice to hear someone not be "politically correct" for a change. I know dang well that racism exists, but I get sick of you guys bashing bush constantly. Hey, I didn't vote for him, but it gets old. The fact that racism is a big deal is whats RESULTING in America being politically correct. The same with religion. Black people get a lot now, more than they did before. And Bush is just a plain jackass. New orleans wasn't the only thing that got it funds cut. The disabled did, the vets lots of things did. I really dont need to listen to pop culture to hear that. What about the mexicans? They live hear legally and most cant speak one word of English. You damn well better believe Bush is behind that. Last time I checked, they were not white by any means.

I'm not suggesting that Bush is a racist, or that Bush is even the one behind anything that went wrong.  He is just another in a line of anti-populist capitalists.  I'm not saying the Democrats are any better, because they aren't.  The entire system is at fault.  Racism, poverty, and government policy are all intertwined with one another.  Suggested reading:  A People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn.  Many of the ideas in it are disputable, but it is a good all-around alternative history of this country.

Deanna, I love you and all, but you sounded so stupid. This "racism" thing is not about Black people being treated better then they were before. We need to be treated EQUALLY. Not better than before. You made it sound as (And this is not what I'm saying you said) if we should be happy with what we get and get over it. Because I refuse, and I WILL NOT get over it. At least not until we do something about the ::Dolphin Noise:: thing. And I know many other people feel the same way, maybe not on this board specifically, but they do. (e.g.. KANYE WEST) Obviously, since its this bad, something needs to be done about it.

I must say, when I heard that, I was extremely disappointed in him. I hate how this whole catastrophe has been made into a political storm. Everything has become political. Instead of doing the most we can out there everyone's being distracted by all the stupid talk of who's racist, who's doing what, who's NOT doing what, and anything else they can find to complain about.
