Gah, I think our future will be the Great Messiah, Almighty, The Lord.. is coming for us. Soon, very soon. They'll be like electric, yes they exist and are made. However they'll be toys for the rich. I have never even seen an electric car. The one's I've read about are nothing more then a roller skate, they're like smaller then a Geo Metro.

I see the future as first, a galactic war field. Then America comes corrupt with power and takes over the world, then they get taken over by some group of rebels and make the world a little like now, but with less hovercars.
