You can guess if something will suck. Almost every other sequal to a disney classic has sucked. Little Mermaid II sucked. We can say we think the movie will suck.

Toy Story 2 was still pixar. Disney was the distributor. Thats like saying Microsoft made Halo. Disney was going to make their own Toy Story 3 before Jobs shut that whole mess down.

Its like when you see a movie. For the most part, if the movie looks bad, your not gonna go waste 10 bucks to go see it, you'll see a move that looks good.

oh my god.  if u really are paranoid about wasting $10, wait until it comes out on DVD and rent it.  read reviews.  when does it come out? 2008? you shouldnt judge a movie until u've seen it, much less 2 years before it comes out. it might be good.  disney sequels can be good.  take aladdin.  i love the sequels more than the original.

Keyword is MAYBE.

I am not saying it will suck, i am saying it will mostly suck. And I have reasons to believe that. MOST Seuals disney did to classics in the recent years were no good. Little Mermaid II was awful.

The Little Mermaid III might not be half-bad, as long as it appeals to older viewers like myself as well as children. That's the particular thing I usually don't like about Disney sequels: they're made to appeal to the kids more than the adults. Oh well; at least Disney's sequels still aren't as bad as all of those The Land Before Time sequels made for video.
