I have one question, I live in the US so that europe thing where media center is wiped wont hurt me will it, because umm...

I <3 Media Center on Windows

It is so handy when you want to do simple music lstening or watch a DVD or something and wire it through another TV too. My main question would be i guess if I'd be able to keep all my programs i currently am using with Windows XP including Media Center.

Simple fact, the folks buying bleeding edge hardware are gamers. Linux doesnt game. until linux can game (cedega is not good enough) linux will never take off mainstream.


Oh and a thought occurs
These arent *versions*, they are....flavours of the same version. In reality there are only six Major version of Windows, each one having several minor versions.
