-What will weather be like?

And a lot more.

Well in a way the meteors and the weather are the only two things that would actually help us instead of just help us instead of just satisfy our curiosity about space, and while scientists are spending bazillions of dollars sending probes and ships to other planets, there's a lot of people down here on Earth with diseases and injuries that could possibly be cured/fixed with those bazillions of dollars used on finding out useless information. I do think you have a point about the weather and meteors, but a lot of the stuff space programs do doesn't help us out, or at least it won't for a long long long long long long long long long long long time. I guess in a way a lot of industries are like that. Movie companies spend millions/billions of dollars on their movies that could be used for a better cause than just 2 1/2 houts of entertainment. I know I'll probably get some criticism for saying that, but that's just my opinion.

Wow it is so nice to see that all our hard earned money is going towards something that doesn't affect our lives WHATSOEVER. We spend millions and millions of dollars to go into space every year, instead of using that money for something more productive like umm... hmm... education or healthcare? Yah know, something important like that.

What are you talking about? Space travel furthers knowledge, and anwser a lot of questions. Space travel IS important.

I live on Earth. I dont/cant live anywhere else. I dont need any knowledge of where I cant live.

Here is an even bigger question... who cares? That information is useless.

Well, we don't need to launch into outerspace to do that anymore... we can do it from right down here on Earth.

We have plagued this planet...the last thing we need is to plague another! lets just leave the idea of living in space alone.....leave space to the irken Invader ZIM!

If we can terraform another world into being earthlike, then we wouldnt have to worry about overcrowding this planet nearly as much. not to mention all teh raw materials up in orbit. i bet a few metric gigatonnes of gold would change your mind :p

I don't want to sound mean or anything but....what you just said is the perfect example of why I hate people.

Humans are greedy, robbing, blood-thristy, war-mongering, moronic, incompitent apes.

We cannot just 'forget' aout a problem just because we could possibly live on another planet.
Overcrowding will continue to happen until something prevents reproduction and/or something that whipes out many human numbers.

Invading another planet just so we can 'forget' our own planets problems is incompitent, us humans have caused so much trouble....and now we want to simply turn around and try to forget that?

Oh i know, im so horrible for wanting poverty, hunger, and disease to end arent i?

Access to other worlds means more space and more resources. by the time we can go to other earth worlds, we will be able to set up vast automated farms to provide humanity with all the food it would ever need. *very* long term thinking, mkay?
