I doubt Cmonkey would make this site if it cost money. Because I don't think he makes money off of it.

I'm not making any money from this site, and I'm not paying anything either, except for $7 a year for a domain name.
Check out my website, www.spongezone.net... oh, nevermind

I tried making a website once. It had a flash-based layout. but then my Flash MX trial ran out and i couldn't update it anymore without buying the program. So, i shut it down. I might make bring it back with a non-flash based layout sometime though.

no, i did mean this forum. not the site site, just this forum. if i wanted to get a forum, just a forum, like this one, it would be free, and i would just have to pay for an actual site? correct? is a site mandatory?

Forums are free to run. You need a php compatible webserver though. You can also use BBFree.com. BBfree hosts forums for free. They use Invision Power Board software just like this site does.  :original:  :original:
I am running an Invision Power Board forum right now. It Rocks! And it is easy to skin. For more information on Invision Power Board visit http://www.invisionboard.com. If you don't want to use Invision Power board you can  try these alternatives.

vBulletinhttp://www.vbulletin.com (With vBulletin, there is a small fee you have to pay before they let you download the software)
Their might be more such as yaBB-SE;openBB;XMB Boards;etc... but these are not as widely used as the software above.

You can just re-install windows and you can have the trial again.

That takes forever and you lose all your important files.

It's really not worth re-installing Windows just to get another short free trial.  Just use some freeware Flash program.
