iPod for the Car
« on: July 22, 2007, 10:19:03 am »
I searched around but I'm a technical dummy so I don't know what exactly I need.  I want something that will allow me play my iPod on the car radio.  However, I don't want to spend 400 bucks.  Any ideas of what would be most compatible?  Also, I only have a tape player in my car if that is of any help.

You have a tape deck?

Use the best (and cheapest) method.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00006JPFU/sr/ref=pd_cp_e_0/105-6023554-8989206?ie=UTF8&qid=1185125708&sr=8-1&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-41&pf_rd_r=1PHPEXFMQ6ET04YX01QC&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_p=250314601&pf_rd_i=B00026VXBM

Just plug in the headphone plug into the iPod, and put the cassette in your tape deck. It will play through that.

Yeah Liz, the tape is great. I spent like 60 bucks on an itrip and it broke, and the sound quality was pretty bad. The tape is AWESOME, that's all I use now.

Yeah, I had one of those, but my brother got mad at me when I took away his text messaging for running up a huge bill and broke it.  We have an iTrip already, and the warranty is not up, so I might say it's broken and take it back to the store.  It sucks.  The frequencies are always fuzzy so it makes the music sound like crap.

I think I'll just get another adaptor.  It uses the battery of the iPod up, but I really should not be browsing my music while driving anyway. :P
