Well..the egg does come first....but when I posted that, I put chicken and forgot about it.

I believe it's the chicken.  According to the Book of Genesis:

And God said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so.

Technically, an egg isn't an animal.  It's an embryo, isn't it?

That makes a lot of sense.

Neither, the dinosaur came before both of them.
Since it's a fact dinosaurs (well, most of them) were the ancestors of birds.

It's the egg.  Something that was not a chicken, laid a mutated egg that was what we consider to be a chicken.  It is impossible for a non-chicken egg to hatch into a chicken.  Only a chicken egg can be a chicken.
