Gas is around $1.69-$1.79 a gallon here in southern Connecticut.

Is that in liters or gallons, though?  If it's in gallons, that's not too bad at all compared to how expensive gas generally is in Europe.  If that's in liters, then yeah, that's quite expensive indeed.

Wow! Now that I have my own car, I have to pay for gas! It really sucks and since my car is a bit of a gas guzzler, I have to pay like $35 to get it full.

2 days ago I saw it at $1.63 at one station and within view $1.75 at another. It's amazing how prices can vary within such a small distance.

Yeah, just the other day I drove by a Marathon and it's regular price was $1.79, about a mile, if that, later I drove by another Marathon and it's regular price was $1.59 x.x
