Title: How Would You Improve Nick?
Post by: Kenny Blankenship on August 20, 2004, 08:08:43 am: OK, I think we're all in agreement that Nickelodeon has problems. But instead of complaining about Nick's issues, let's be proactive and try to solve their problems for them.

So, how would you improve Nickelodeon?

My list:
1. Make a requirement that says all cartoons must only concentrate on providing entertainment, and any shows that only concentrate on teaching morals will be labeled "boring" and consequently taken of the air.
2. Eradicate all Klasky-Csupo cartoons. They have gone way downhill from 7-10 years ago.
3. Create new cartoons that are in the mold of "Ren & Stimpy", "Rocko's Modern Life", and "SpongeBob".
4. As for the non-cartoon shows on Nick, either completely start from scratch, hire better writers, or both.
5. Give Nick Jr. its own separate channel.

That's all I can think of for now, but I think the above 5 ideas would be a great start to the renovation of Nickelodeon.

AGU or Rugrats...both are still going strong...they did make a couple new episodes where we met Harold in preschool...

I meant...the people who made FOP also got the idea for Danny Phantom...and then Crash Nebula...those werent good ideas...

Parents hhave to pay for NickToons TV...they made have to pay for Nick Jr because I dont think there is any room on another channel for cable tv...for it

Well,we'll have to agree to disagree on Rugrats and AGU.

And I said create new cartoons in the mold of "Ren & Stimpy" and "Rocko", cartoons that could be compared to "R & S" & "Rocko". I didn't say create spin-offs of "R & S" & "Rocko".

As for the Nick Jr. channel, I'm sure something could get worked out. These are just ideas on how to make Nick better, we don't have to worry about the little intricacies.

So, ssj4gogita4, what would you do to improve Nick?

Girls In Love is a book written by a popular author here called Jaqueline Wilson and they made a TV show out of it. It's about 3 friends who are caught up with boyfriends and boy dilemmas n stuff and they try not to let ruin thei friendship. Kinda girly cheese but it's ok!

2. Bring back Rockos Modern Life, Doug, Angry Beavers, Ren & Stimpy, and other classics.
3. Take some risks with T.V. no safe boring, unoffeinsive houmorless shows.
4. Allow shows without always having morals.
5. Hire smart wirtes who right smart jokes, not just poop and pee jokes.
6. Get rid of the stupid shows about Teenagers, they live in a fantsy world with these shows.

I KNOW it will never happen, but it would be nice wouldn't it?

It would get old after a few days...the entire network would go in jeopardy

By the way, i hate NICK...they may have some good shows, but I still hate them.

ZIM has been on and off the air for the past 2 years...it was gone for a total of 6 years once and noone remembered it, just like NICK wanted...until the DVD's came out.
It's official that NICK are angry at how successful the ZIM DVDs where, since they confirmed they hated ZIM.
It's cause it cost alot to make, but they got alot of viewers from it...even late-night views.

Well, today's Nick Jr, yes I would get rid of it. It's just plain horrible without Steve on Blues Clues (although they do show re-runs)

Nick @ Nite has some of the greatest shows ever on TV. Cosby Show, Roseanne, Cheers, Wings, Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air. These were some of the most highly watched shows of all-time. So they wouldn't get rid of it. Sure their commercials are stupid and "The Funniest Mom In America" is soon to be produced but it's still comedy on TV.

Rocket Power is pretty decent. They wont cancel Spongebob because of the ratings and Danny Phantom is just getting better. The first couple of shows were the crappers

That will never happen, because Nick has a thing against dark. They hated Invader Zim a very good, but very dark cartoon. And if you notice all of today's Nicktoons are all way too happy. They also happen to be vary bland, and unofensive. Remember Rocko's Modern Life, or Ren & Stimpy? Great shows but they'd never be on todays Nick because they are considered "inapropiate", and politicly incorect. But the public loved Ren and Stimpy, and Rocko's Modern Life.

Anyway, on topic, I still think that Nick needs some new & decent (decent being the keyword) cartoons... SpongeBob can't carry the network forever.
