OU Sooners > You ^.^
I'm not an NFL guy till playoffs. I'm an NCAA guy forever :P

Me too. I love all NCAA sports over professional.
Im optimistic that the Kentucky Wildcats will win at least 0 games this year.

Wow. That's optimistic.
My prediction?
-4 wins
2473 losses
I'm rooting for the Longhorns, for of course, the University of Texas.

Whoa. Thought I was the only longhorn fan here. Great to know I'm not the only one. I root for them over my hometown team during thanksgiving :)
OMG. Kentucky won! Pssh. Just kidding.
Louisville topped Kentucky 31-24. Not bad considering Kentucky was a 22 point underdog. And Louisville is ranked 12th I think.
Could Kentucky actually win a game this year? Probably not. After a stellar 2-9 season last year, I see a 0-11 season this year.

I dont know... I watched the game yesterday and i'll be willing to bet they can win 3, maybe 4 games.

Oh yeah...I forgot they play Idaho State, Vanderbilt, and Indiana. They MIGHT win those 3. I hope they beat Indiana; they haven't lost to Indiana in years.
NFL is my thing. Again.

Well... the Gophers are back to their old ways. Getting killed on the road by Penn St. 17-0. Yuck.
If anyone utters the words "Wisconsin", "Minnesota", "Badgers", "Gophers", "choke" , "botched", or "punt" in this thread today, I shall wield my mighty sword and smite ye.

That's a horrible way to lose. And ya know another horrible way to lose? Losing with one second left on the clock, dooming all hopes of a Rose Bowl appearence. I'm pretty ticked, out of control like a wild animal (not quoting ron artest).
The world would be a much happier place if there was a playoff. Then fans of teams like PENN STATE and MINNESOTA(whoops I mentioned it), wouldn't yank their hair out over a loss or two.
What went wrong in the final seconds on ND/USC game:
1) Ball went out on the 3-yr line...spotted at 1
2) Bush aided Leinart into the endzone. That's illegal and 15-yr penalty.
3) Refs should be fired from that game and never be allowed to ref again.

I didn't really think the push was blatant, though... it's happened before where it hasn't been called, so I wouldn't be so upset about it. They're not getting screwed over like the Angels are, at least...
I don't think Penn St. ever had a chance at the Rose Bowl, though. Thinking they'd make it to the national title game with teams like USC, Texas, Va. Tech, Florida St. and Georgia in front of them, their chances even with a win today would have been slim.

Even if we some how managed to go undefeated, we still wouldn't of made it because teams like USC, Texas, Virginia Tech are all likely to go unbeaten. BCS and preseason rankings should be done away with. And if we played Mich. again, I think we'd beat em'.
...
everyone can beat USC. and if the refs get things right in the last seconds of the biggest game in years, then they would already be beaten. and they still have UCLA and Cal to go through.
so yeah... i guess ssj's the only one else to notice how much they screwed that up. and of course USC "played like champions," even though they weren't even the best team in that game. and all those other teams that are doing much better that USC, will just as well be forgotten about.
i've been waiting for USC to lose for a long time. and i'l only have to wait a little longer. but seriously, the refs don't have the right to screw up the best game in a long time, and yet they do. there's no justice. other than michigan beating penn state, in what was probably the second best game in a long time. :)

The refs aren't the reason USC won. You can't blame them. Besides, if the refs WERE biased, then USC would have lost. Everyone knows that the home team gets the benefit of the referees.
As far as Leinart being pushed into the endzone...sure it's a penalty, but it never gets called and it's done all the time. You'll see it in every college game, and even some professional games. Besides, Leinart spun off the pile, so the push didn't help him any.
USC won because they are the best team in college football, and anyone who says they're overrated needs to look at the fact that they won the championship game last year by 30 points, and that they barely graduated anyone.

Towards the end, Notre Dame left USC wide-open which caused the touchdown. That's the main cause of the loss.

Exactly. Everyone's overlooking moments like that and paying WAY too much attention to the final play. If Notre Dame's defense hadn't had a breakdown earlier, then none of that would have ever happened.

and i'm not saying its all the refs' fault or that usc would have lost. i'm saying, let's put the ball at the 3, put 7 seconds on the clock, and see what happens. that's what should've happened, but its not. and that fault lies with the refs.

That would be the incorrect thing to do. Leinart got inside the one yard line before the fumble was forced. If a fumble goes out of bounds, the ball is placed where it was fumbled.

No. It went backwards, therefore the clock would still run.

The ball went out of bounds. It was shown in the replay. Whether the ball went backwards and then out of bounds is irrelevant. It then becomes an issue of forward progress.
Tom should I be on teh Football team? I'm so big n one would eva be able to takkle moi

Did you just call me Tom? Wtf. Don't EVER do that again. Only Hannah and Kevin can call me Tom.
If it went forward...touchback. Plain and simple. Either way...its Notre Dame ball/win.

I don't understand what you just said. A ball fumbled into the endzone isn't an automatic touchback. It's only a touchback provided the defense covers it. You can't call whether they would have covered it or not, so you can't call how the game would have ended.
The ball was fumbled OUT OF BOUNDS, so whatever you're saying makes no difference. USC won fairly. They won because they are the better team, and they don't crack under pressure, unlike Notre Dame.
college football i will play for kstate

You couldn't play anywhere. You're 6'3", 260 and you said you're really lazy, meaning fat. If you were the same height and weight, but muscular, you could make a good inside linebacker. Too bad you're too lazy.
But were friends. Oh and TIMO can you go on AIM contact me

USC will have their day, though. I bet they lose in the Rose Bowl.

Nah. Let's agree that I was right, but nothing can be changed because the game happened YESTERDAY.
USC won't lose, either...even though I want to see Texas beat them.
They're too vulnerable. Texas is better than Notre Dame (except yesterday). But Virgina Tech would play USC instead of UT vs USC.

Nah. I'm doubting Va Tech makes it the rest of the season without losing. I'm expecting a UT/USC championship game.

Well, I've only seen the replay once so it's hard for me to say.
Say you have the ball and you're running towards the endzone. Then a dude comes in and knocks the ball out. It rolls into the endzone and then out of bounds, that is a touchback. If the ball were to just roll out of bounds the offense keeps the ball from the spot it rolled out.

The ball went almost directly horizontal as it flew out of bounds from the replays I could see.
Some analysts have called yesterday's game the greatest NCAA football game ever played.

I'm not so sure about that... there's a lot of games that we haven't been able to see that might have been better. Oklahoma/Nebraska from 71(?), Miami/Nebraska from 84 are all considered to be pretty good. I think we're just losing perspective after an incredibly fantastic game...
Besides, I'm more partial to Minnesota/Penn St. from 1999 myself (oh, I'm such a homer).
