I'm sure it has a CD player, and there's an optional attachment for the DVD player.

I heard that to. Cant wait for Wii to come out. I read that the Broadway CPU chips have been shipped to Nintendo, so the console might come out much sooner then expected. When it comes out im getting LoZ: TP for sure, but I cant decide between Wii Sports, ExiteTruck, and Elebits for my 2nd game.

There are two versions, a $500 dollar one and a $600 dollar one. I'll wait for a price drop and then buy Tekken 6, a second controller, and a memory stick.

The $500 isn't even worth it. It's like the Xbox 360 core system, but suckier.

360 is decent. The price isn't THAT bad. Plus the system is actually good, theres quite alot of good games and XBLA with it.
Can't say much for sony. Too overpriced and too many First person shooters and racing games.

Hey, could anyone tell me if you need a memory card for the Wii? If so, could you post the price and capacity?
I havent heard anyone talk about a memory card, and there is no memory card slot on the machine (there is an SD card slot, but I think they would put in a memory card slot so that you dont have to take out your memory card every time you need to upload photos). I know that there is a Wii themed SD card, so are they using SD cards as memory cards? Also, couldnt you just save games to the 512 MB of storage space?

Actually. I just read on 2 or 3 threads on the nintendo forums that you can use the built in 512MB to store game saves, so I dont need an SD card.

Not really. There is no monthly fee last time I checked, just a one time-fee, and if you download it before July 2007, your good, because it is free until then.

For the first 6 months after launch, you don't have to pay the 1-time fee.
If you buy Wii after the 6 months, I think it's a 1 time fee of 10$.

I didnīt know about the Nintendo Wii or anything about it until I read the Spongebob magazine and saw the Creature from the Krusty Krab game for it, and the game isnīt out until November.But now I might be able to get a Wii.But I have two chances;Birthday and Christmas.

Its a calulator that tells you how much money you'll spend at launch. Just pick your games, controllers, VC points, and state, and it will show you how much it will cost. Also, theres a countdown for the Wii launch at the top of the page. Oh, and the calculator is automatically st to the Canadian version (or at least it is on N-Forums), so you'll have to change it to American version if you live in the USA. Also, im not sure if the prices are right, I know that one of the Canadian prices if off by a few cents, but that really dosent matter. The games might also be off to, because they have all the games at $60 on the canadian one. The taxes might not be right either. Still, its pretty cool if you want to know roughly how much you'll be spending on launch day.

On this website you can create your own Mii!. There in 2D, so there not exactly the same as the Wii Mii's, but its still a fun little thing to toy around with.

Yes it is. I loved the original Duck Hunt for NES. That, along with SSB Brawl will have to me first Wii games.

Dunno.
GameSpot reviewed Excite Truck. 6.8 or something. Some valid points but the reviewer is basically saying he expected a true hardcore game. What else was he expecting from it? The game is clearly an "In-Between Play" kind of game you will pick up every six months and have an insanely good time playing.
Other than that all other Wii reviews from sites (IGN only I think) are above 7.0

I got an extra one for not that bad of a price. Meijer had a sale going where you can pay for the remote and get a nunchuk.

There are some pretty cool games on there. My favourites: Paintball, Curve Ball, and Dice Mogal. IGN likes Tactical Assasin, but I havent played that one yet.

Flashpoint is, by far, one of the most well-done flash games i've ever played.

I think it looks really cool. Nintendo was behind for a while. Im not into video games much. Id like to play it eventually, but I dunno. Not really my thing.
I might ask for one for my birthday next year if I want it that bad. I don't think I will though. I don't have enough time for doing my schoolwork and homework, much less playing video games.
There is one video game that I wanted for my PS2. Guitar Hero.
It looks amazing, and I'd love to try it. Its not like I'd have to go out and buy a whole new game system for it either.
Oh well. I will try to stop in at our local gamestop and play the Wii.
