Thank goodness I can finally vote after all these years come 2006. My senator voted no on the resolution and is running for reelection. I mean come on; what year do they think their living in 1900? There has been a major changes in how to drill oil today. There has so many enviromental requirements and technological innovations that the number of wells has decreased from five to one. I've seen that Kerr-Meeg commerical on how to extract natural gas from the earth. The enviromental damages can be decreased with todays methods and a thing call common sense. It's a sad shame when we can't drill for oil when we most need it.

Never look to an oil company to get unbiased information about oil.
Anyway, it is inevitable that we drill in Alaskan Reserves for oil. Of course, the reserve has nowhere near the amount of oil necessary to remove our dependance on foreign oil or even lessen it in a significant way.
