They really need to make a rule about going out on the first prank call...no matter what.
Kids should be taught in school striclty and promptly over and over that IT'S NOT A TOY! EMERGENCY ONLY! and that operater should have taken him seriously. Most little kids wouldnt know about death like that unless they saw it happeneing. and calls that hangup after being called should be checked out. somone could be pushing 911 on their cell cuase they are being raped or sometihng and they cant talk. or they are in a robbery. those calls should be checked out immeadiatly.

I agree with you, Garygirl. There are lots of situations I can think of that you would need help in but couldn't talk.
