Is anyone here currently taking or signed up for German next year? I signed up for it and everyone including my brother is telling me it is out of this world hard even if I study for hours on German. My brother didn't like it but everyone I know does.

It ain't too bad. It all depends on how good of a student you are to begin with.
From a practical standpoint, Japanese and Spanish are probably tied for the greatest amount of benefit for learning them. German would be at a close #2 just for going over to Germany to drive on the autobahn and drink real german beer :)

I took one year of it in highschool and almsot failed it. I passed it by one point. It was hard for me. It's pretty easy to read but speaking it is another thing.

imo, you need to have some german blood in you to want to take it :P
