As much as I dispise the Westboro clowns and everything they stand for, it is within their First Amendment rights to do what they want to with the American Flag.

It's really depressing that the child got injured at that one picket... it should be illegal for them to bring impressionable young children to those pickets. That little girl didn't even know what a fag was.

Honestly, it doesn't bother me when they do what they do to the flag... it is just that. A flag. They could dolphin noise on the thing for all I care. But it's the way they do everything else that pisses me off.

Reasoning does not mean changing someone's mind on a particular subject... reasoning can be agreeing to disagree, which I believe you and I have.

The flag is nothing but a piece of cloth. People put too much emphasis on protecting the symbol, and not enough on what the symbol symbolizes.
