For those who aren't fans of the show, Spongebob is gay. But to Stephen Hillenburg, he's an asexual oddball (as in genderless), there was an episode "Rock a Bivalve" further speculated rumors that Spongebob is gay. Heck, Spongebob is not gay, Gerard Way is!!

Well, Patrick's not gay 'cause of the movie, so SB's probably not too.

Since the characters never step forward and say "I'm gay" or "I'm not gay," we will, in the end, endlessly project our own perspectives on the issue, onto the characters.
Patrick's behavior in the movie towards Mindy is, however, a good example of (possibly) the writers/producers reacting to these discussions which, by the way, we've had before... -.-;;

I'm closing this topic on the account of that this is the most ridiculous question I think thats been raised about Spongebob (I don't mean just by you Banchee1919, I mean in general). The whole thing surrounding Spongebob being gay is crap, like SSJ said, ITS A CARTOON. End of story.
