So, yeah.
My favorite of the year would have to be Neon Bible from Arcade Fire. In Rainbows was a bit of a let-down, but is still really, really awesome.
-
nah, i think radiohead.
-
Dark Passion Play by Nightwish was awesome.
-
Goin with In Rainbows. The bonus disc was awesome. Plus, I don't think I've heard any other new albums this year. :p

Word. That's my favorite album of the year. I didn't buy many albums though.

1. Sound Of Silver
2. Cross
3. In Rainbows
4. Neon Bible
5. A Weekend In The City

If you didn't say "Somewhere in the Between" by Streetlight Manifesto then you are sadly mistaken.
:P

by far the best album of '07. I'm pumped for the concert on the 11th. :)

Athlete - Beyond the Neighbourhood is my favorite album this year.
Though it's probably pointless me mentioning bands seeing as how 90% of them aren't in America!

It's an even split.
And, I don't know what I was thinking when I said In Rainbows was a let down. I'm watching Radiohead's concert of it on current.com, and it's making me rethink everything. I want to buy it today, but I have no money.

Athlete is a good band though. I saw them live at university once.

:o You're kidding! I was wanting to see them for ages, since their first Album came out, finally managed to see them live in London last summer, and I loved it. Did you like them live? They're one of my favourite bands.
-
La Cucaracha from Ween. I haven't listened to the same album over and over so many times since never.
-
I can't decide, I actually liked a lot of stuff that came out this year, but I'll go with "Systematic Choas" by Dream Theater for sake of convience, seeing as I saw them on tour this year and they owned.
I can't wait for the new Metallica album this year that will either...
A. [Somehow] be EVEN WORSE than St. Anger
B. [Not A Very Good Chance Of This] return to their roots.

Oh yeah, they were really good. It was nice to see a band I'd never heard of before. I can't remember any of the specific songs they played, but I remember that is was great. I need to buy one of their albums, actually.

Out of the three, I'd advise either the first (Vehicles and Animals) or the second (Tourist) albums, the third is a good one, but the other two are better.
Glad you enjoyed them though.

My favorite is Okkervil River's "The Stage Names". But, I've spent the day listening to this one, and I wish I had actually heard it in 2007 so it could qualify... 'cause this is dang great album.
