Title: Texting question
Post by: IceFox on October 23, 2008, 03:38:57 pm
I dont have texts on my cell phone plan so what I am wondering is

Is there a site somewhere I can use to text people with? Something that won't spam them? And I can get text responses via the website or to an email?

Most carriers just let you do it over email.  On Verizon, for example, emailing the persons phone number @vtext.com will send them a text, and the replies will email back to you.  Make sure you use plain text and not html email though.

meh...this got bumped anyways by a spammer, but....

you can also use [your phone number here]@vzwpix.com to email someone a picture or to receive pictures.

I personally use it as a quick way to upload pictures online, and i also have it forward any pictures to facebook.
