Head anyone been looking forward for the famous hit Anime films Akira, coming to a live movie in '09?
This is the information for it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akira_(2009_film)#Live_Action_Film

Wait... what? How could that possibly work live action.
-
i dono but apparently its DiCaprio's favorite film of all time, and he's a huge anime fan.
In an interview he said "i promise to make it please all of the Akira fans" or something along those lines....
He also said something like "if we can't do it right, then we won't release it"
that 2nd link is old.....the one i read a week ago on reddit said dicaprio isn't interested in starring in it at all.

Ugh. This is an awful idea...

I can't wait to see this bomb the way Dragonball is going to.
lol.
-
but dragonball is just a moneymaker. akira.....notsomuch
i mean, they just created a new dragonball z manga story offshoot in japan and are releasing it for free online cause they want to revive the series. I read the first one.....it sucks so hard....
If the man says he loves Akira, and he's got a good bit of money to play with, then I'm giving him a chance. And i can picture alot of scenes actually coming out even better in live action.

I hope you're right. Akira is one of few animes I actually LIKE.
Dragonball was one of the other few...but the movie is obviously going to be a huge failure.
So I REALLY hope you're right about Akira.

I take I'm the only one who is going to see the new Dragonball movie?
I mean, I want to see it in sort of a masochistic way.
