Title: Pets
Post by: telephony on December 02, 2008, 06:40:41 am
This thread is to say what kind(s) of pet(s) you have.
Pictures would be nice, but they're *NOT* necessary.
Here, let's get this show on the road...

We currently have two kitty cats - Puffin and Pookie.
I often call Pookie "Garbear" (pronounced "GAIR'bare" like "care bear") - this stems entirely from SpongeBob SquarePants who has a pet snail named Gary; SpongeBob occasionally calls him Garbear.

Pookie (or Garbear)

I also used to have pet rats...yes, I said RATS.
They're clean, easy to care for, and - believe it or not - reasonably intelligent as well.

This is Veemon (yeah, I named him after a digimon!!!) ;)

And this is Missy.
She appeared on the TV program "America's Funniest Home Videos" in November 1998.

I have a website about the pet rats I used to have, called "Five Furry Fuzzbombs (http://home.att.net/~toyletbowlbbs/petrats.htm)".

My family generally fails at pets. My dad likes fish and keeps discus. We've had many fish. I had many reptiles and amphibians when I was around 8 years old but I had to give them away when I moved. After I moved, we tried a dog twice and failed twice. There's a cat that hangs around our backyard occasionally but we can rarely let her inside, since my mom is allergic.

If you do fish, try out some loaches. They're about as fun as you can get with fish. I had 2 coolie loaches and they would constantly test their manliness by headbutting stuff lol
