Who thinks that the episodes produced after the Spongebob movie onwards are completely different? Should they cancel the show and leave it as a happy memory rather than destroy it with cheap jokes and bad writing?(http://www.unitedspongebob.com/Users/ericksilva/Documents/My Spore Creations/AnimatedAvatars/Spore_GIF_2008-10-18_11-13-27.gif)

I think they are as good as ever (havn't seen season 6 yet thought) but I agree they shouldn't keep going on forever, it has to end some time :P
-
Jeez, I've been out for a bit, but even back then, this was the hot topic.
YES, the new episodes are bad by most people's opinions.
Is it that groundbreaking that it must be discussed over and over and over again?
-
I would hate to see spongebob off the air. I think all the episodes are awesome.
-
They're not bad.
-
hahahahahahahahahahaha
STILL.

Once there was a ugly barnacle he was so ugly everyone died the end.

On The Nick Toons News It Said That Patrick Moved Into A Semi-Detatched Melon But On The New Episodes Patrick Still Has His Rock. I Am Confused

The new episodes SUCK. NO. QUESTIONS. ASKED.
I love Vincent Waller, but he doesn't know what direction to take the show in. Every single new episode feels like a fanfiction. Spongebob isn't an adult with an eternally youthful spirit anymore. Now he's just an idiot! Patrick may have been an idiot from the start, but now he's an even bigger one! The new Patrick makes Peter Griffin look smart!

Different? Maybe. Worse? Not at all. Don't mislead the community of Spongebobians with your words!
I grew up with Spongebob Squarepants (I remember waiting excitedly each week for the new episodes to come out after school) and even now, it has not lost its luster. I absolutely love it! ^_^
There's just something completely genuine in the characters of Spongebob. Know what I'm talking about? It's something about Spongebob's ingenuous persona, Patrick's...for lack of better words stupidity, Squidward's misanthropy, Mr. Krab's greed, and Plankton's devious schemes that makes us truly appreciate Spongebob Squarepants for its art.
Take a look at the recent Season 6, Episode 7, "Giant Squidward" where Patrick praises Spongebob for being a saint, and Spongebob replies solemnly, "I know, and it is a burden I must carry." You look at that perfection of composition and tell me Spongebob has been going down hill. I dare you! I know I represent the entire Spongebob Squarepants community when I say Spongebob will live on!

THIS.
I WTFed pretty loudly today when a commercial came on for new SB episodes and Spongebob was saying "Hey do you guys remember that time I married Sandy?" and I wanted to scream AHHHHHHHHHHH FANFICSSSSSSSSS IT BURNS
Im done watching Nick.

These ratings (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0206512/epdate) show pretty clearly that:
- the first three seasons were great
- seasons four and five were the worst
- season six's second half and season seven have mixed hits and misses
I made a graph:
