i think it is so stupid to have the secret box, ppl are very frusterated and p.o'd at a lot of u and mad that u have the power and some fo us have seen posts were you higher ppl mis-use your power against us the little ppl and if we speak out we get edited and thats not fair and i wanted to clear that up because no one had the guts to do what im doing!

This is a forum that we built. And in order for the forum to survive, there has to be order. For there to be order, there have to be people with power to keep the forums under control. For the people to successfully keep the forum under control, they have to be able to communicate with each other. The Secret Box was made to serve that purpose. It just allows us to easily communicate with the rest of the moderators. If we had kept it hidden from the start of the forums, you would never have realised that it existed, therefore it makes no difference whether its there or not. We are all humans here, moderators are not gods. You are not "little people". You still have the power to argue and express your opinion as long as its not breaking the rules of the forum. We do not edit posts or delete topics unless a rule is broken. There was one instance in which a moderator edited a post for his own amusement, but the moderator was reprimanded and it will never happen again. Also, every forum on this site is a place for members to "chill". The Secret Box is just a quick and easy way for moderators to communicate in secrecy.

I was just explaining and trying to get you to calm down. Don't you think you could make some sort of effort to be mature and reasonable? Ok, here we go: If it's a little city, it has a government. Do you honestly think the government tells us everything? If you do, you need a reality check. Sometimes there are things you're just better off not knowing. And I don't see why you'd want to know what goes on in there so badly. And I don't see how this is much different from an employees only situation, but whatever you say.

We are speaking out about how we feel about the secret box. We said it's no big deal. Or were you too busy trying to find a substantial argument that you missed that? And you're free to voice your opinions, there's nobody going to stop you. But yes you are being childish. It's not that you chose to voice your opinions-it's how you voiced them. There was no need for you to suggest that they're doing things in there that we should know about when really, it's none of our business. You need to know when you have an argument and when you don't, because then you just look silly and childish.

An employees only room is EXACTLY the same as the secret box. Both are visible and both are forbidden. And both have thier purposes. If you don't like what we do here at the forums, then leave.

Chelsey, the Cake example isnt even close to correct. The idea isn't that its forbidden. The idea is its purpose, and you are forgetting that. The purpose of an Employees only room and of The Secret Box is for the Moderators or Employees to give each other information and to plan events in the forum or in the store. Last time I checked, a cake couldn't do that.

Thats not true chelsey. The secret box is not "under our nose". It's just one place that we can't get in to. one place. I also dislike chocolate cake. It's not like one of the mods are shoving the secret box down our throats. It's just a place for people of higher authority to chill.

They made these forums. So, common sense should tellyou that they are the people entitled to staff only forums. Did you spend time installing this forum and making the topics? The people with access to the Secret Box are staff. Do you go to places like movie theaters? Do you ever notice the staff only doors? Now, do you think you should be able to go through those doors if you don't work at the movie theater? Same principle at work here, kid. :rolleyes:
Look, you can post anywhere else. Be happy about that. They have every right to make their forums not have bad posts by editing them and to have a place where staff can discuss things in private. How could anyone be mad about this?
