I've made an offer to the admins of SpongeBob Crazy and the Squareboard for the creation of a unified forum between the sites. I was remined of what the Squareboard was 18 months ago. Everyone in the online SpongeBob community visited it and posted there. Soon afterward, the community split, with the opening of other forums, such as the Sponge Zone forums. Many forums disappeared, many more appeared in thier places. The Sponge Zone forums went on to become the largest ones. I want to reunite the forums. My offer is to combine the three board into one large one. It is still under negotiation, so the details will come later. I can only hope that the other admins see my vision of a united community.

I'd like that. I can't ever visit SBC because my computer's too slow. SZ seems to work fine for it.
I think that it would be a great idea. It would give all of us a chance to meet new people from the other forums.

I dunno. Too many admins/mods/members isn't a good thing. And I don't know how you plan on "merging" forums from different databases and everything. Plus, there will always be more than just one SpongeBob forum, so it'll kinda defeat the purpose...

We don't need to have one big forum to be a unified SpongeBob community. We always have and will be, regardless of the number of forums.

It wouldn't get out of control. I visit forums that have 50,000+ members, and they are very much in control.
It's not unified if you have to visit two different places to talk about the same things.

I think it would be a good idea. I was from one of the forums that shut down, and it sucks. Anyways, it can take less risk of other forums closing, and it can unify fans. Those who wanna join can just see 1 BIG happy community than a lot...
I was also a poster in a wrestling forums, and it got unified to another big forums, yes its more work for it means more members and lots of moderating to do, but in the end its worth it. It will be more lively. And we can really get opinions and great discussions from lots of fans.
And how to get them together? In the unification of the WWE forums, whichever community one belonged to, they just have to log in to their original names and passwords, and they can get in to the unified site.

So you don't even know how to? That's great. And the there's nothing wrong with going to different forums. In fact, it's better. Again, regardless of how this turns out, there will always be more forums. All I ask is, what's the point?

There is no knowing how to. There are hundred of ways to go about doing this. I just want to see how they did it. The point is as sweetmisery said, its just better.

Spongey34 you sound like a 2 year old. Your whining about this way to much. This is a very good idea. Cmonkey's reasons are absolutely correct. Why go to 2 when you can go to one with both forums basially there. Members, don't worry about staff. Your not staff so no need to panic. We have it under control.
This plan will work but no Squareboard.

Well, Chi Chi died or something. Then ETaB didn't want it anymore, so he gave it to DPS. But then apparently he changed some stuff, and ETaB didn't like it. So he tried to demote him, but couldn't. And things just sorta fell into place and he decided to close it.

If only SBC and SZ merge then it won't make much of a difference because most of the members on SBC are spongezoners.

The merger is a good idea, I don't buy that the boards are different, we're all spongebob fans, aren't we? We shouldn't be fighting what board is allowed to join the merge or if the borads are too different. What makes some type of sb fabs go to SZ and some go to SBC? The fatc is, the boards aren't all someway, each board has unique members.
To say for example "All people on teh squareboard are rude" or that "all people on SBC are mean" is dumb. We're individuals, and removing the labels of "SBC forums, SZ forums, SB forums" makes us a unified community

i'm with Spongey. i want to see if this is really gonna get pulled off. cause its insane. it sounds cool now, but after a while, you're gonna ask yourselves, "why did we do this?"
if this goes through, sooner or later, the entire board will go down in flames. admins fighting, banned members all over, and you will suffer the same fate as sba did. but, go ahead. i could really care less :glare:

The members seem to act a bit different. Lets put it this way: SZ is like the classic everybody loves. SBC has all of the newest stuff and is also popular. That's the way I look at it.

And SBC has a lot of hacks and stuff like RPG Inferno, D-Shoutbox, Welcome Panel, IBStore, iBProArcade (I think)
