Title: "channel Chasers"
Post by: Hiei on July 11, 2004, 04:47:06 pm: Yet again, I hear Nickelodeon is making another pansy movie, entitled "Channel Chasers" that should air on the 23rd of this month. I wasn't excited about it, but I did hear that Rocko will make an apperance on it. It isn't going to be by Joe Murray, at least I don't think, so I don't know if I'll waste my time watching it, but it would be a consideration. I found out about this on "TVTome" and actually wasted my time watching the stupid channel to see if there was going to be a commercial for it. I didn't find anything, so I was wondering if anyone else heard about it?

This is bad and a stupid idea, seriously. Especially Fairly Odd Parents. I guess I'll watch it then, but I don't think I'll be very excited after the movie. How long is it?

I don't think everything is stupid, I just dislike the idea of having Rocko air in a movie. It was a funny show, but shouldn't be brought back. I like it on Nick Toons TV, but I wouldn't like to have it on the current Nickelodeon and have it on every piece of merchandise availible.

Anyway, even just a cameo apperance wouldn't bother me.

Heh, that would be tough. Joe Murray had a tough tradgidy around the time Rocko ended, November of '96. Either:

*It would be re-runs, which would pretty be useless, who would be paying for 52 episodes run over and over?

*If Nickelodeon were to air again RML, it would be odd, since it didn't run for over 10 years.

*Don't count on new episodes. Joe Murray ended it. A classic goes down in history.

*It's already on Nick Toons TV, which I believe Nick owns, to.

If you think about bringing this back, compare it to "The Smurfs" or "Ren and Stimpy" and think if they'll be brought back.

Anyway, Joe Murray's intention was not for it to become a mega hit and have it labeled on cracker boxes, it was a small, loveable modern show. That's why I like it so much.

They aired classic nicks that havent been aired for years...whats wrong with that? People love classic nick. The smurfs are not on/nor have they EVER BEEN...on Nickelodeon

I just used "The Smurfs" as an example, it was the only cartoon that popped in my head that hasn't been aired in 10+ years. I don't even like them.

Ren ans Stimpy was brought back in the summer of 2000. It was only aired for a couple of months then disappeared again.

It's best to just leave it in the past. It's over. When I first got my dish I watched Rocko everyday for 2 weeks stright from 3 to 4 in the afternoon, but it got boring because I've seen them all before. I love the show and all who were involved, but its over. It's like watching re-runs of anything, its gets old quick.

Well the only imitation I didn't like was the Daffy Duck one they made fun of both
Daffy & Donald.It was a funny episode I liked how they made fun of Jappaneese anime.I don't like anyway.

They make them to kill air time too. In the summer most series' go on hiatus. So, for nick they make crappy movies to show so kids wont get bored and quit watching. The movies are stupid none-the-less. That As told by Ginger movie looked like crap. I didnt even watch the stupid thing. FOP gets on my nerves anyway because its the most overplayed show on nick. Even more than SB, I think. I like the dad because hes so stupid. Everything else is kinda lame.

Lets not forget about the new Captain Chrunch Cereal. I was wondering about that myself. They did quit making rocket power almost as fast as Catdog came and went. Some shows just dont last. The rocket power story was stupid. About kids that surf and skate. It has no real plot, just the story about.......kids that surf and skate. The fact that it was a cartoon was stupid. It should've had real actors. Alot of the action skate junk looked jerky. Is half of that stuff they did even possible?
