The old poll was getting krusty, so I changed it. Will the new episodes (season 4, although its not a full season) be good? Voice your opinion over to the left.

Though I didn't think it was a good idea last month, I think it is now. There are too many SB forums, and consolidation will be good.
It can work as long as there's not like 6 Admins, 12 G-Mods...etc...may I ask what the staff line-up will be?

I think we should still do the merger. I'm tired of not being able to go to SBC because of my computer. Plus, everything would just be easier if we did merge.

The only reason you don't want to merge is because you're banned at SBC. And most likely you'd keep your post count from here. But post count doesn't matter, remember? And It's not our fault you can't get on the computer as much.
And by banned do you mean your two day ban for flaming here, or your permanant ban at SBC?

I honestly don't have a clue where you and just about everyone else has been. A select few, especially me, have given countless reasons on why it is bad. Then I sit here and wait for someone to give just one reason why it is good, or to prove us wrong. Then dumb posts like yours show up and I get to enjoy a good laugh. Thanks.

Unbanning past members is a bad idea...
They just want to merge because this forum thinks it is the best and doesn't want anymore competition from SBC...

That's not true. cmonkey got the idea from an angry Squareboard member. Plus, if that's what we were doing, SBC would've been more reluctant to say yes. The only reason the Squareboard isn't in with the deal is because we can never get in touch with them.
Nicole, the details will come later when we're positive about the merge.

I don't know about you, but I'd prefer my forum to be free of numerous threads consisting of flaming and spam. And if you've been paying attention, you'd realize that there are several people who are not from SpongeBuddy that disagree with the merge.
The only reason the Squareboard isn't in with the deal is because we can never get in touch with them.

Not everyone from Spongebuddy is against the idea. But I do know that Spongey, ssj, and I are opposed to it. My reason? Mainly, it wouldn't work out in the end. The technical hurdles are big enough, and then if it does work, without any bugs, there'll be complaints and chaos everywhere. "I'm supposed to be Admin!"..."No, I am!"..."Why was I banned?!"...
I know there's gonna be a wrestle for control, unless all staff from both boards keep their positions. Becuase if the staff fights, the members will find out, and they'll leave.
About knowing the facts - I am well aware that you haven't realeased a whole ton of info about this to the public. I can relate, I have my own board as well. Please do not take my previous post as meaning "I know all" - I am just irked that all the staff thinks we oppose this simply becuase we're sour. :original:

One reason I like the idea of the merge is because SZ won't be around forever. cmonkey will be heading off to college soon, and there won't really be a Sponge Zone anymore. At least not one like there is at the moment. The merge would secure that these great forums won't be lost when cmonkey leaves..and I know we don't want them gone. Another thing, there won't be any more confusion than there is now about who's banned. There will be more staff, and that means more people to take care of the forums. Nobody will be fighting over staff positions either, because that's already been taken care of and nobody's complaining yet.

A little bit of clarification.
Squareboard is out because thier admin dispises the SZ. Your post count will remain. The name will be something like United SpongeBob, although it's not finalized. There will be a set number of admins and mods, and decisions will be made democratically. All members will be unbanned. (Note: The Sponge Zone currently has no bans). More info will come after a meeting...
As far as I can see, there is nothing wrong with the merger. Go ahead and list why you think it will be bad; I bet I can show you why it won't be.

If I'm correct (Don't hold me to it), Each forum will carry over two skins. But they gray SZ one will be default.

No, they're MERGING. SBC is not as big because it is newer than SZ.

Actually, SBC has a much larger forum, with more variety. SZ haz more members and post count.
I suppose the Invader Zim Forum is DOOMED when the merger happens...but I would encourage ya'll to keep it. Variety is GOOD.

I feel that there are many people here who are very biased towards one or two members, and shut out everyone else.
There are others *cough* angelene *cough* spongemonkey13 *cough* who enjoy poking around with others while they are arguing, trying to make a point. I resent that very much, whether I'm involved with the argument or not. If you don't have a POV to debate, than STAY OUT OF IT.
I feel that the Moderators here huddle inside their little "Secret Box" and only come out to make news or witness our little fights, but yet they do nothing about it. This is almost a lawless forum, and it would be a shame for SBC to waste what THEY'VE done, and merge with you. That is my belief. If SpongeZone is going to die, than let it die.
Have you ever read "Lord of the Flies"? No? Then pick it up and read - you'd be surprised how similar it sounds.
I don't care how you sweet talk me, or anyone else, I know. I know.

So your saying your afraid the merged forums could get out of control? The mods here do a fine job. It's much harder to mod here than at spongebob crazy. like an 800 member differance. so of course not everything will be moded right away.

The mods do a great job on the forums. You just don't notice trash because it isn't there. If we weren't doing a great job we wouldn't have over a thousand members in about a year. So don't come in here and say we don't do anything.

i agree with cmonkey. cmonkey has never treated me like crap ever. and do you know how many times i was banned? he has been the nicest, sweetest admin to me than any of the global mads and other admins.(you to hannah! i 'm just making a point)he's always been nice to me, never sneered at me, or disbelived me.ya know, he has the best personality then any of the mods or admins. he doesnt have that sorta way like hes trying to get through to you that, haha, i'm an admin, and your not. sometimes, by the way the mods/ and other admins word things, thats the point that there making. heck, if i ever met a guy like cmonkey, i'd go out with him :wub: :wub: :biggrin:
