Title: Power Outage

As many of you should know, a rather large power outage struck the northeast yesterday. Me being the good Admin that I am, ran to the server location to power down all servers and make sure that the network equipment was still alright. The server that hosts this site decided that after 30mins without utility power, it should go ahead and do a safe shutdown by itself, so when I got there it was in the progress of turning off. (Thats Linux for ya) I made sure to shut down the rest of the servers, and check cnn.com to get an estimate of when the power would be back on. The power ended up coming back on at my house around 12:30am. We can all thank a secretary at the server location for turning everything back on this morning, as I was not able to make it in early enough. Well, everything is back up, and no major dammage happend to anything of mine.  :cool:

YAY!! Yesterday when I typed in www.spongezone.net and saw that it didn't work... i was like screaming inside my head! lol  :original: but i'm sooo happy it's back on! :original:

Same for me.  I got up at 9:00 this morning, just to see if it was back on line.

i would of checked, except for the fact that i had no power. it came back on at about nine ,but only for a half hour.

I was so bored last night because there was no spongezone! We were lucky we didn't lose power.

I was extremely bored, too. There was nobody online, and there was nothing to do. I think I even updated a website...amazing. I always forget about them.

I'm glad the server is back up. The server that hosts my site is also the same server than hosts this site.

thats the problem with youth today, everybody jsut plays vidoe gaems, goes on the computer, watches tv, noone plays in there backyard and goes to the park,im not saying all of you dont, it'' just  everyone watches SO much tv and stuff.
