Computers & Video Games / Analog vs Digital
« on: August 29, 2008, 05:00:10 pm »
I feel this needs to be discussed. Both screenshots were recorded with two digital tv tuners and both tuners were by Hauppauge.
Analog Hauppauge PVR-150 MCE-Kit (This is proof HD Channels suck on SDTV's and they're worse than SD on SDTV's) - This was originally captured in 720x480 and cropped down using coax port.

Digital Hauppauge HD-PVR - This was originally captured in 1280x720 and resized to 640x352 using the component ports.

Computers & Video Games / Microsoft has a Poor Future Ahead of Them.
« on: July 16, 2008, 07:41:05 pm »
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/architecture/aa699384.aspx - The point is you will have to pay monthly to use stuff like Microsoft Office instead of buying it once and installing on a bunch of computers.

It works great, I can do everything I would be able to do on an Apple Computer with this except for running updates without it freezing. By the way, I used Leo4Allv3 to pull this off and I'm gonna try Kalyway to see if it fixes the updates error.

Wow, it's almost here and to think I joined this forum a few weeks after I finished 6th Grade. Before you know it, I will be in college and be driving everywhere. I've changed so much since the first day I joined this forum, it's crazy. Anyone else feel the same way as me?

Computers & Video Games / Kubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon w/ Compiz Fusion
« on: October 28, 2007, 09:38:52 am »
This is the greatest thing yet. I thought Beryl was amazing lol but this is even better, a lot faster and more stable than Beryl. Plus, the features of Kubuntu 7.10 make it run a lot faster too.
