Bikini Bottom / Blooper in a newer episode?
« on: August 05, 2010, 07:52:34 am »
In the episode "Karate Choppers", when Patrick loses part of his right arm, a new one regenerates and Patrick says something like "Starfish can regenerate lost limbs" or some such horse puckey...then a moment later, a "clone" of Patrick shows up and walks offscreen -- Patrick then says "Limbs can regenerate new starfish" or something. I don't have an issue with either of these scenes...it's that the regenerated starfish that came from Patrick's severed arm has on the same type of purple and green shorts that Patrick uses!!! Am I to therefore presume that severed limbs that regenerate new starfish also regenerate nylon or cotton too?

Games / The Medley Game
« on: May 26, 2010, 09:33:22 am »
This game is fairly simple, actually.

Hook together lyrics from several or more songs to create a medley -- it need not make absolutely perfect sense, and it does not need to be grammatically correct. A few lines below the medley, post the song authors and song titles that you used.

Let's get this show on the road with this medley:

You can carry on like an ice machine at the speed of sound, locked & loaded I can't stop don't chya stop don't chya stop don't chya stop huffin' and a puffin' down on Venice Beach, flashlight, red light, neon light; echoes...with the sound...of silence

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Night Ranger -- "Play Rough"
Anthrax -- "Cadillac Rock Box"
The Cars -- "Don't Chya Stop"
Green Jell˙  -- "Three Little Pigs"
Parliament -- "Flash Light"
The Sound of Silence -- Paul Simon

Games / You know you watch too much SpongeBob when...
« on: August 19, 2009, 11:40:34 am »
I've seen this type of thread ("You know you watch too much _______ when...") on several other BBSs about television cartoons, so I figured it would be good to have one going on the USB fora.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You know you watch too much SpongeBob when you start a web page about one of the characters (Gary the Snail in this case) just for the sake of having a web page about him.

You know you watch too much SpongeBob that whenever you hear the song "I Wanna Rock" by Twisted Sister, you immediately think of the song "Goofy Goober Rock" from the SpongeBob movie.

Bikini Bottom / New episodes of SpongeBob?!?
« on: March 20, 2009, 08:36:06 am »
Seen on the Nick TV schedule online:

Episode titles: Pets or Pests/Komputer Overload, Toy Store of Doom, Professor Squidward, and Choir Boys.

I do not recognise by episode title, so they must be new or at least FAIRLY new.

Bikini Bottom / SpongeBob marathon today on Nick!
« on: February 16, 2009, 07:45:38 am »
Just wanted to give everybody a heads-up that Nickelodeon is running a SpongeBob SquarePants marathon today (02-16-09) from 6:30am until 7:00pm PST.

There's an episode titled "Side Whistle Stooges" at 6:30pm PST today (according to the online schedule); I've never heard of it until now.

Everything Else / Pets
« on: December 02, 2008, 06:40:41 am »
This thread is to say what kind(s) of pet(s) you have.
Pictures would be nice, but they're *NOT* necessary.
Here, let's get this show on the road...

We currently have two kitty cats - Puffin and Pookie.
I often call Pookie "Garbear" (pronounced "GAIR'bare" like "care bear") - this stems entirely from SpongeBob SquarePants who has a pet snail named Gary; SpongeBob occasionally calls him Garbear.

Puffin

Pookie (or Garbear)

I also used to have pet rats...yes, I said RATS.
They're clean, easy to care for, and - believe it or not - reasonably intelligent as well.

This is Veemon (yeah, I named him after a digimon!!!) ;)

And this is Missy.
She appeared on the TV program "America's Funniest Home Videos" in November 1998.

I have a website about the pet rats I used to have, called "Five Furry Fuzzbombs".

Everything Else / Happy Dry Overcooked Replicated Dead Bird Meat Day!!!
« on: November 27, 2008, 10:06:59 am »
(That's "Thanksgiving" to most of you!!!! ;)
Here's hoping you have a feast fit for a king, and please try not to fall asleep in the Lazy Boy watching football after dinner.
:) :D :D :)

O yeah...things to be thankful of...hmmm...let's see...

o My family (of course, even if they act like total bungholes every once in awhile!)
o My LED, flashlight, and laser website
o SpongeBob SquarePants (of course!)
o My life...for without it, the world would be a slightly darker place.

Here's some proof that I really *DO* like "America's favourite sponge" and that I'm not just here to raise a stink. ;)

A Gary the snail plush I purchased on Ebay in mid-February of this year.

A SpongeBob SquarePants plush I purchased around the same time.
Gary is seen sidling up lovingly next to him. :)

Nickelodeon / iCarly "I Go to Japan"
« on: November 12, 2008, 07:33:38 pm »
Wonder if anyboy else has watched this.
I've seen it several times now.
I like the way the French guy at the hotel says "puppet" - he pronounces it "poop-it". :)

Has anybody else watched this special?

Bikini Bottom / How does he do that?
« on: November 05, 2008, 08:14:46 am »
In the episode "Help Wanted", SpongeBob goes right to making Krabby Patties with apparently no previous knowledge of how to do it - ie. he never watched "The Krusty Krab Training Video".
Yet he apparently made Krabby Patties correctly right from the get-go; needing only the special spatula (I believe the "hydrodynamic spatula with port & starboard attachments and turbo drive") that Mr. Krabs told him he must get as a prerequisite to getting hired.

Any ideas on how SpongeBob accomplished this seemingly miraculous feat?
The special spatula was used to chop the ingredients, but it did not tell him how to properly assemble Krabby Patties.

Bikini Bottom / Blooper in "Big Pink Loser"?
« on: November 02, 2008, 05:17:30 pm »
Right near the end of the episode "Big Pink Loser", Patrick gets a trophy for "doing nothing better than anyone else", he excitedly puts it on its head, then tosses it toward the right. He then excaims "I'm gonna go protect my title" or some such horse puckey, then runs toward his rock on the left *WITHOUT* his trophy.

Patrick made a big stink about not having an award when the program began, so you'd think he'd really want to take that trophy with him...guess not though. :(

The Pineapple / What happened to the "TV, movies, and music" forum?
« on: October 31, 2008, 05:53:53 pm »
I was not able to find the "TV, movies, and music" forum a short time ago.
I don't think I did anything wrong; there are no PMs in my inbox telling me I've been punished.

Bikini Bottom / Mr. Krabs & multiple destruction of the Krusty Krab
« on: October 20, 2008, 08:30:08 am »
Q: If Mr. Krabs is so cheap and stingy, how is it that he can tolerate the destruction of the Krusty Krab restaraunt on multiple occasions?
The two episodes where this has occurred that I can think of right off the bat are "The Krusty Plate" and "Selling Out"; though there are at least several other episodes where the Krusty Krab was destroyed or damaged to the point of requiring a total or near-total rebuild.
Mr. Krabs (with his obsession with saving money!) should just go ballistic whenever this happens -- well, he *SORT OF* does on the episode "The Krusty Plate" -- but he rarely does.

A: This is where you pipe up with your answer.

Bikini Bottom / Is anybody going to watch "WhoBob WhatPants"?
« on: October 12, 2008, 01:26:37 pm »
For those who may not know,  "WhoBob WhatPants" is the SpongeBob special that Nick is going to be showing tomorrow evening at 8:00pm PDT.

The Nick TV schedule on the web lists it as "What Ever Happened to SpongeBob"; it is going to be followed at 8:30pm PDT by their last aired special, "Pest of the West" (or was the last special "Atlantis Squarepantis"?).

So, is anybody here going out of their way to watch the new special?
