I'm turned off because I went to a catholic school. It has nothing to do with MSP. My family is catholic. And, yes E-Rose is correct. You dont need to do any of that to recieve salvation. They do pray A lot of "hail Marys" to recieve forgiveness. Which is not whats it the Bible at all. What I meant was, that is like praying like a robot. You're saying the same thing over and over in hopes to be forgiven. Pray as much as you want! I know people that have prayed for hours a day. I pray for a good 10-15 minutes a day. I've been Baptised twice. All that means is I'm publicly letting everyone know that I've come to Christ though Faith. It has nothing to do with actually taking that step to come through faith. Anyway, I'm done with this thread. I'm not going ot argue with anyone. It isnt worth it...

Well I understand what you mean now. All I can ask is for you to be more elaborate in a post like the one I quoted earlier. Just saying Catholocism is "screwy" doesn't give me a reason why not to think you're just saying it out of ignorance. But like you said, arguing isn't worth it, so I'll do the same.

^Don't apologize, it's perfectly fine.

I read over some posts from MSP and realized they were Catholic too, so that helps on what some are saying about/to them.

I meant Isn't Anything (my bad), but you're right. Don't blindly critisize, but once you get to know MSP you may understand why people are a wee bit turned off of the Catholic church.

I thought so.

You threw me off when you said MSP, is that abbreviated for something? That would help. Being a Catholic, I understand that so many people dislike it, because it happens a lot at my school, so I have to confront them myself and answer their criticism. I just hate the fact people say things bad about it, but at the same time know nothing about it.

Some personal thread are ok. I don't mind thread say "I Got a Job", or "My Mother is Horribly Ill", etc... but thread after thread about boys, and the mean girls at school, or something similar, is a little much.

Agreed. I like how you said it in the first post though. What's true doesn't always have to be the nicest thing to say.

^Obviously. Do you see my join date?

Tell me anything you want about her so I'll stop seeing her as a girl who enjoys pain.

^ I think what she means is that you don't have to do those things to maintain salvation. Some people, like MSP, would have us think that you must do certain things at certain times. If you want to pray ten times a day, then do it, but don't say that it is a must for all Christians.

Of course I could be totally off.

Sort of what I was saying. (I was mainly defending my religion and beliefs XP)

Like what you just said, do whatever you believe and get on with the kind of life you want to live. Simple as that.

And may I add, don't blindly criticize anyone else and their beliefs.

I'm not scared of homosexuals, I just don't support homosexuality. Not my belief.

I know a few guys that are "gay", and they're really great people. They act as a regular person would act, that is, mostly the way the opposite sex would act, but what the heck: it doesn't bother me. As long as another girl doesn't "show interest" in me, I'm perfectly fine with it. As the United State's motto once was, "It's a free country".

Neither would mine, I love fire and watching people suffer...so He11 would be a sorta nice thing for me.
But still, Im sticking to the thought there is no heaven or he11...doesn't mean there isn't to you, but in my eyes there never has and never will be.

Even if you went to he11, you wouldn't be watching people suffer, you'd suffer yourself. That's the whole point, dear. I'm sure you don't think suffering is fun, right?

I have so many reasons why I'm not Catholic. One: the go against the Bible and are more into man-made triditions like throwing water on people and praying like a robot 10,000 times a day. Its really screwy.

I'm going to go through this the mature way.

How does the Catholic religion go against the bible? That's the first question I want you or anyone else who agrees to answer. And where did you get the idea of Baptism and praying for as long as you please "man-made"? Did Jesus not pray every day for as long as he wanted? Did he not baptise his followers? Have you ever been to a Catholic church or actually studied what they believed (good enough) before you bickered senselessly about them? Either find a book about the Catholic religion or read the Bible for once before you meaningly or not offend other people.

To answer the question of this thread, I'm straight.
