Well, you sign up with a host first of all. Then it is basically step by step from there.

Learn HTML or PHP, code the pages, and sign up for a web host. PM me if you want a really good free one.

You can't just say "How do you make a website". You need to learn a coding language, leaarn CSS styling if you want to make a background, sign up for a domain name, (PM me if you want to know a couple good places to sign up for domain names), sign up for a seperate host if you want more productivity, start coding the pages, put up some special things if you want, and put the link in your sig.

If you want a site that will get popular, stay away from Geocities/FreeWebs/Angelfire.

I think geocities is OK.  I use it for small things like school projects and stuff.

I do know HTML, and I'm working on a website made with that.
