To be perfectly honest, I had never heard much of the Allmans before last night, but I sure will now. They were AWESOME! The guitarist was excellent, and overall they were just plain good. Not quite as fun as Skynyrd, because Skynyrd talked to us a lot, whereas the Allmans just played, but they were still great. I must get something by them now. :P

Oh, I suppose I should share any other presents I received. My parents gave me a Cure remaster along with last night's ticket, JW2000 bought me a Bright Eyes album, and my grandparents gave me $40, with which I have so far bought Dookie by Green Day, and Disraeli Gears by Cream.

You do know that now anyone could look up the tour dates for Lynyrd Skynyrd and figure out your hometown, don't you?

And that kinda surprises me... being so mixed.  I guess since it's in the south, their music resonates a little more with the young ones...

I wouldnt say that. Here in Florida we dont.....well, unless your older. But really, Florida isnt the "south" its a state all its own. Well, I call it "Southern New York" because everyone here is retired from New York or is a family from New York.
