So what? Conducting electicity is a bad thing.

Yes, it is. Electricity should be banned in itself. Oh no! We better get off the computer, Amsalp, we're being hypocritical!

I'm all for lighting rods, but I'm totally against metal rods. The death toll for metal rods is higher than those due to lighting rods.

We need top conduct electricty! Plus Metal Rods SAVE LIVES! Instead of you house cathing on fire, stick a lighting rod on your roof and you should be safe.

And for those who dont know lememe explain the lightning rod:

A lightning rod is a metal rod with rubber on the bottom. You place it on your roof. Lighting(when it strikes) is attracted to metal and will go for the highest metal possible. The electricty will go down the rod but, rubber is an insaltor. The electricty will hault in the rubber, thus protected you from a potntial fire.

Last time I checked, a lightning rod IS a metal rod...

Lighting rods conduct lighting on purpose. Metal rods conduct electricity on accident.

It doesn't matter if it's "on accident" or "on purpose"...a conductor is a conductor.

Man, cheese, if you have just one true friend to your name, I'd be surprised. Everything you say is negative, all the time, about everything. Killjoy. I'm not going to say nobody likes you (but that could be a safe bet) but lighten up a little, geez.  :glare:

Hmmm....good to know you don't like me.  Most of the people on this board do...

really?????????????

Yeah.  Most of the people here like me.  You have a stupid reason for not liking me.

Now...on to the topic of this entirely stupid thread...

Banning "metal rods" is dumb because they have uses.

This topic would be better if it were closed...because it is one of the dumbest topics on this board...

my reason is not stupid!
ur rude
any ways back on subject.............
they really wouldn't put metal rods near by where people live
