Wow, it's a good thing I speak gibberish.

No, I have no computer problems.   You obviously do considering you can't type correctly.

I've had comp problems ever since I installed my college's network software b s. I cannot get out of standby, and my monitor just flashes its evil light. Nothing wakes it. Also, when the network is slow, my computer is slow. Even when it's a non-internet app. Like Word or Excel.

Not with the hardware itself, but Optimum Online has a lot of pop ups (many of which are quite disturbing).

I have no problems w/ my computer because I take really good care of it. I never go on a site with a lot of pop-ups after the first time. Try to download Microsoft Anit-Spyware Beta to find out if you have spyware or not. And AVG free is a good program for viruses. As for Firewalls, if you have an XP, it comes with it. If you don't get AVG free w/ firewall. (I think it's still there.)
