NFL season has started.
« on: September 08, 2005, 06:02:59 pm »
The Patriots and Raiders are about to kick off the season on ABC.

Am I the only one who doesn't see the Patriots repeating?  Maybe another team will step up this year.  At least I hope so.

As for my beloved Packers, blah.  I have a feeling they'll be terrible.

Alex's Vikings are going to be el terrible as well.

Eh, they probably will repeat, but the Eagles and Colts should prove to be a match for them.

Bah.  Don't post in this topic if you're gonna be a party pooper.

The Raiders aren't looking bad at all.

Yep.  Uh huh.  We only have every expert predicting us to win the North, a few predicting us to be in the Super Bowl, and the Packers are only predicted by many to suffer a let down this year.  Yep.

10-7 in the Patriots game... I wish the reception on my TV was good enough to see what the time left in the quarter was...

Edit: Wait... I should read the whole thing before replying, shouldn't I?  Yes, you're right, the Pack will be terrible...

Teeeheee.  Vikings in the Super Bowl.  Haha.  I laugh at the very thought.

I say this as I watch Kerry Collins get smothered by the Patriots defense.

13:00 Left in the second quarter.

Go Dolphins. Maybe we will win more than 2 games this year. Quite frankly I will be satisfied if anyone but New England wins.

Ooh... Moss TD.

And you know... Vikings in the Super Bowl, if you'll admit it or not, is a very feasible possibility.  Even though a sack of potatoes might be better coaching us, we have improved the defense this offseason, our receiving nucleus (believe it or not) could be just as good as last year's, and Daunte looked brilliant in the preseason (granted, it is only the preseason, but still...).  And besides, the NFC is still weak, and if we could make it to the Divisional Round last year, we can definitely make it to the Super Bowl this year...

Edit: Oh, and a warning to all who don't know a thing about football, don't post in this thread.  Please.

I'm still rooting for Patriots this year. I want a 3-peat. Although, I would like to see my Cowboys do a little better this year...it'll never happen, though.

I'm going for Eagles, hopefully they can make it to the Super Bowl again. If not, then Falcons.
