For the first time in SpongeBob's long and somewhat fruitful video game career, there will be a version compatible with all of you Apple users out there. As
MacWorld reports,
Aspyr is publishing a Mac port of the game, SpongeBob SquarePants: The Movie.
Does this mark a change in the market, with even low budget, TV/Movie-licensed video games getting ported to Mac? Or is this simply a too little, too late measure to gain a bit of cash (especially considering that in the time since SpongeBob: The Movie came out for PC, another game, SpongeBob SquarePants: Lights, Camera, Pants! has already been released).
An interesting and completely unrelated anecdote: AWE Games, the developer of every THQ published SpongeBob game, created
Trolls in 1993, which I was addicted to for years. Go play it, now.
Also, happy 18th birthday to
