Pure communism doesn't work, either does pure democracy. What works is a combination of both (socialism).

Yeah right.  Socialism.  The hell that makes everyone truly equal.  Some people work hard, everyone gets the benefits!

Communism is the worst idea ever.  There is no freedom to it whatsoever.  A dictator always steps foward and the people suffer horribly.  They work for very few wages and there is never enough to eat.  The state rules people's lives to a major extent and that is never good.  Free thinking in basically illegal.

I think you're referring to fascism, not communism. x.x

Cuba isn't communist. All of these so-called "communist" countries are just labeled as such as by the US.

"Communism" is like that.  The technical dictionary term may not say so, but that is what it always leads to.

Marxism is the original theory of communism and is completely different that what Stalin and China put in place. It is a good idea in theory but its proven that it doesn't work. People don't want to share things and the rich people don't want to lose thing!

The world has yet to see a working example of either Democracy or Communism.  Both are ideals to strive towards, impossible to reach.

Anyway, my opinion on the matter is that communism is flawed, not because each example in the past has become a dictatorship, but because it underestimates the power of a free market economy.  Competition drives prices down and innovation up.

I don't believe in Libertarianism though.  A mix of capitalism and socialism is necessary to prevent the rich from getting richer while the poor get poorer.

Such as a command economy? I think Norway uses that.

No, like a progressive taxation scheme, or even negative taxation for the lowest brackets, as well as subsidized health care, food, and housing.  A planned economy has too many restrictions on the market.  Markets are pretty self-regulating anyway.

It would work(not that it's right) assuming everyone will simply accept what they get and not try to get more or beat the system.

Communism was just a dream...it's impossible to accomplish, although it would have made the world a better place.
Capitalism is horrible, it sees people as nothing but 'human resorces' and when they can't bring in anymore profit, they are discarded.
it's a darn shame communism didn't work out, but then again....what has worked?
