No need to argue that point. Computers are created and controlled by humans. Machines wouldn't exist if we didn't want them to.

Artificial Intelligence. Meaning it is a machine with enough sophistication to display sentience. You think computer, you think of your Dell. I say AI, i mean every computer in the world right now several times over combined into a box the size of your head. Computers are constantly getting faster. once they are fast enough, and complex enough, they will mimic the way the brain works. Think realy hard, about your mind. Your mind is neurons and such, all a comptuer has to do is simulate that soo well, that it stops being a machine and starts being alive....

Or any sentient intelligence. But I don't think it will turn out well. Computers probably won't take over the world, as CloneTrooperX's clones will likely blast them all if they try, but it probably won't turn out as people hope.

Yes, good to point that out.

Computers will never take over.  All you have to do is shut the thing down.  They are dumb machines that do whatever we tell them too.  Even with all the new technology, no computer will equate a human.

Your right, a *computer* never will, since its nothing more than a glorified adding machine. but an AI, i think its possible.

AI is artificial Intelligence.....it's the backbone of a computer and it's harddrive....so it IS possible for a computer to take over the world.

What if the computer in the pentagon decides it wants to rule the world....and sends out missiles to blow up everything? lol.

Someday we will probably invent the AI. Heck, considering that the technology that's been invented is like 10 years ahead of what we have, we might have already invented AI. But I doubt that it will ever take over the world. I mean, we can smash computers with baseball bats if they get out of control.

Maybe. If mans can continue to make computers controllable by man it's not possible. On the other hand..................
