As for the topic......

The gun is a meer tool which is handled by the REAL danger: Human.
The human hand is the most lethal weapon, it holds the knife which cuts, it pulls the trigger of a gun, it hits people and throws the grenade.
That guy has issues to deal with....just snapping like that and shooting? He may have called the police afterwards....but I still think he needs his head testing.

There is a need to control guns, but not take them away fully. people should have self-control. But taking away guns would mean they should take away knives and crowbars, and hands for that matter. They are all killing weapons.

I heard about that on Howard Stern. It's pretty sad, killing people over silly things, like going on his yard.

With his age being at 66, I think that if he didn't have a gun, he wouldn't have killed the kid.

Plus, I'm sure that many kids had been messin with him over his lawn for a very long time.

People just snap sometimes. But if he didn't have a gun, then snapping would have just been yelling at the kid.

Personally, I woulda planted remote control landmines. When it says 'No walking on the grass', it's for a valid reason.

people kill people no matter what. if we didnt have guns he might have used a bow and arrow...highly unlikely but still, he could have tazered him, u can buy those alot of places. knives work, the old guy lost it, i saw this on the news it happened near us. the kid had harrassed the old man for years with his friends and egged his house and whatnot. they would blast their music real loud and the good lord knows old people go to bed at 8 o clock or earlier. its not at all right that he shot him but i can see where he was coming from.

That is possibly the stupidest reason for killing anyone ever.

As for the gun control thing, guns dont kill people, people kill people. But I do think that all guns in the world should be recalled and sent on a rocket to pluto.
