It's that time of the school year for you high school students. Who's going to prom? I'm actually going to two. One tomorrow that I was invited to, and my own at the end of the month. What about you kids?

Hmmrph. I was suppose to go with my friend but he dropped out. :( We were going to tell everyone Im his boyfriend who just recently got a gender change.

Proms aren't even about dancing here...its about talking to friends...which is pointless for a prom because you can do it anywhere.

Here...they have freshman/sophmore dances (sorta like a jr/sr prom) and junior/senior dances (without fr/so)

Went to my junior prom and my senior semi. Prom was alright, but semi was more fun. We went nuts with one of those chocolate fountains....

I decided not to go to my prom as a Junior but I am probably going to go as a Senior. I think the actual prom itself is lame but the parties and all that other jazz is fun.

We don't have proms in Australia, but we have a graduation at the end of grade 12.  Everyone just gets dressed up all fancy like and we have a nice meal at some fancy place, listen to some sad speeches made by people we have grown up with and then dance the night away.  My graduation was the best high school memory I have.  I had the greatest night.  I guess most of the kids in grade 12 at my school already got along pretty well, there were no fights or arguments and everyone danced together as friends, it was really emotional.
