United SpongeBob is proud to announce that it has purchased a rival SpongeBob Fan Site, SBMania, for an undisclosed sum.  Cmonkey was quoted as saying, "World Domination doesn't come cheap, but I had to buy them out some time."  The SBMania staff was unavailable for comment, as the windows on their new Bentley were rolled up.  Cmonkey announced the plan for World Domination at a United SpongeBob shareholder meeting last week, during which he also announced that all United SpongeBob staff members must convert to the Church of Scientology (bless the holy Xenu and his Thetans) or be fired.

EDIT: Yea, nevermind.  The check bounced, so SBMania is going back to normal.  Forget Scientology too, I got kicked out for making fun of Tom Cruise.

when SZ merged with SBC there was months of talking beforehand, the community was given the info on heads up, all that stuff. All of a sudden, AND ON april 1, just doesn't cut it for me as true.

There isnt months of heads up available. the brothers who are paying the server bill decided they were tired of the site and cancelled the account. in a little over a week our host is canceling our entire account. this deal had been on the table for a while, they took it up. it was basicaly sell to cmonkey and let USB take over, or all the content would sit on someones hard drive never to see the light of day again....
