The prices are triple in Europe what they are in the US so don't complain too much! Even though they are getting relatively higher and higher.

Hybrid cars are really expensive. About $4000 more then a equivalent regular car.

In order to make it through the world one needs some insanity.

The government and state needs to get rid of any taxes on gas, or atleast lower them. In my state alone, taxes are ~$.75 its ridiculous.

Gas prices also wouldnt be so high if we can drill ANWAR, Gulf of Mexico, more of Texas, and Gulf of California. Also these stupid environmentalists wont let us build any refineries which is keeping gas prices ridiculously high.

Gas could easily be about $1.00-$1.75 if those two things alone were fixed.

Making cars efficient doesnt lower gas prices. It just raises the amount of miles you can go on one gallon, prices will still be the same.

People are mad because it costs too much to fill their car. With that logic you have, if gas cost 1 penny per gallon, people would complain. If they don't need as many gallons, then, they won't need to pay as  much money.

People would be much happier paying $1.00 per gallon than $3.00/gallon and they'll still get the same mileage.

There still is plenty of unused oil resources in this world. It's just that most of them are trapped in shale, and sand. I think that as a nation, we need to take advantage of Ethanol, they use it in Brazil. And Brazil is independent of foreign oil practically. Ethanol is made from resources we have in America, it can be made using: Corn, Grass, and Sugar.

In order to make it through the world one needs some insanity.

Look at the size of the UK compared to the size of the US. That's why public transportation works better over there.

We still have problems with our buses....the price for a child has risen by 5 pence and the price for an adult has risen by 10 pence!
It may not seem like much, but it's getting ridiculous (sp?)!
We still have too many cars on the road...you get morons living up north who work in London durin the week, and they return home on friday....the motorway is packed....and it's cheaper to take the train!
I mean...it costs alot to drive to London...finding a place to park there is impossible, but they still choose to go by car....even when it's easier and cheaper to take the train!

The Government only adds taxes to gas, they do not control it; OPEC controls the price of a gallon of oil.

Actually, it does work.  Here Costco has the lowest gas prices in town, and they make the most money off it.  It also causes people to buy more memberships to the warehouse, because you have to be a member to buy gas.

Lies.

There is a gas station here in Texas...forgot where but I heard it on the radio...and the gas is $2.00. Although, I also heard that the line is backed up for half a mile.

My parents just bought a Civic Hybrid, and it's nice at all heck. We officially get 49mpg, and it's way better than our van that was supposed to be getting 21 and was getting 14...lol

I'm tired about people complaining about gas prices.  Then again the news media has downplayed gas prices recently as they come down, but they're still high.

I'm also tired of Congress trying to get even with the oil companies they're probably sided and influenced by Wal-Mart.  My father has invested an amount of money in ExxonMobil for his retirement account and so has others.  People should invest more money than to sqander it on Sweet Sixteen parties or buy a new car every eighteen months.

Here's an idea, ride a bike from place to place or make more phone calls than visiting.  It's called sound transportation and that's alot cheaper than driving.

You know, you could do that and make a statement about rising prices by riding a bike on the Interstate.  Then you'll get on all the news headlines.  It'll probably on the same level as the state that refused the barge full of trash.  As an effect, people began to recycle more.

Exxon would be the LAST group that I would invest with. Wasn't it proven that Exxon has Al-Queda ties and supports other terrorist groups?

You know, you could do that and make a statement about rising prices by riding a bike on the Interstate.  Then you'll get on all the news headlines.  It'll probably on the same level as the state that refused the barge full of trash.  As an effect, people began to recycle more.

The only news you'll get is a section in the obituaries.

Anyways, riding a bike/mo-ped/scooter/etc on a interstate highway is illegal, next time look at the signs posted on the entrance ramps.

Anyways, I'm surprised more people arent looking in purchasing diesel engines; diesel engines can run on filtered vegetable oil without any modifications to the engine.
