uninstall firefox, reinstall firefox.

don't forget to back up your bookmarks, if you use them. back them up using the export feature in the bookmark manager.

That just means there is an error with Firefox. Try to reinstall only the security function. Are you installing the right version? Do a virus scan, check the security directory for read-only's and change them to otherwise. If that doesn't work, reinstall the whole thing AGAIN!

if you backed up your bookmarks, then uninstall firefox, then find your profile.

you can find it in:
C:\Documents and Settings\***YOURNAMEHERE****\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles, just delete whatever is in there. you may have to turn on seeing hinden folders and files, google that if you need to :D

I just finished doing all that, so now when I boot up FireFox, I get this:

and then I hit 'OK' and then FireFox doesn't open. I rebooted my computer, and checked my Task Manager (Both times, I also checked the Process Tab) and I still get this message:

I am using IE right now.

Any more ideas?

Don't use Firefox for a couple days.  It may work.

Do this:

Boot into Safe Mode
Run Firefox
Delete the /profiles directory in c:/program files/mozilla firefox
Uninstall Firefox
Delete the folder /mozilla firefox
Reinstall Firefox in a different directory.

If that doesnt work, I'll tell you what to do.

How do I boot into safe mode? The standard F8 Hotkey has never worked on my computer.
