Nintendo breaks out some good news to those waiting on what to do for their Nintendo DS investment, the company releases that come June 11 the Nintendo DS Lite will join their handheld family in North America at $129.99 US. For those wondering the DS Lite is a lighter weight and brighter visual version of the current Nintendo DS on the market. To kick things off the DS will be featured in Polar white with a raised DS logo on the cover.

I doubt that will happen. The people in Japan are buying these things faster than Nintendo can produce them... that's why the US hasn't gotten a release earlier. They had to use the ones designated for US in order to try and fill some of the Japanese demand.

The DS is somewhat more poppular than the PSP. But the PSP has better capabitlities than the DS. Probably because of it's cute games.

Yeah like Metroid Prime Hunters and all. But the DS has NO mature games. The PSP has GTA:LCS and SOCOM:FTB. Also Daxter(not mature but still awesome)and Burnout Legends while the DS has a bad version of Burnout. I think PSP is equal in all(except in the games department).

I still want a micro. When the price goes down just a liiiitle more, I'll probably buy one.

Plus, this looks way better than the DS. And mine's all ready scratched alot...

What I'm saying is that the PSP has more violent games. The DS appeals to people that play some mature games but prefer games that have a friendly setting. Some DS games are cool like Metroid Prime Hunters and Burnout but the PSP has better games in those genres. Thus making the PSP better in my opinion.

PSP = Something for more shoot-shoot-bang-bang games people.
DS = More rpg kinda things, games with more thought...I guess...

Im not good at explaining it, but you get the point. Yes, the PSP is better for some people, but maybe you like Mario games better than GTA games...

Yeah.  The PSP I've heard doesn't have great games, but is good for the video and internet and photos and what-not.  That's why I want a DS, because I think the games would be better.  And it's a lot cheaper than I thought.  I will wait for the browser and TV though.
