It was much edgier than the series, and I heard it almost became PG-13, but the producers cut it down quickly.

No way was it ever going to become PG-13.  No way.

I loved it.  My favorite part: Goofy Goober Rock.  I still laugh at that 1 year later.

I watched it again just last night, as a matter of fact. The on-land part was one of the best parts; the movie wouldn't have been nearly as good without it.

For biggiofan18,

Mr. Krabs has opened up a new Krusty Krab, the Krusty Krab 2, to get more money.  Meanwhile SB is all hyped up because he is sure he's gonna be the manager.  When Krabs gives the job to Squid, SB is depressed, so he goes to the local Goofy Goobers to drown his sorrows out in ice cream with Patrick.  Meanwhile, at another attempt to get the Krabby Patty, Plankton seizes King Neptune's crown and stows it in Shell City, where SB and Patrick are headed when Mr. Krabs gets framed for stealing the crown to get the crown back and bring it to Bikini Bottom, with the help of Mindy, King Neptune's daughter.  Meanwhile, Plankton's taken over Bikini Bottom, or Planktopolis, with mind control helmets, when he gets the formula and sells Krabby Patties with free helmets at the Chum Bucket.

Did anybody notice Mr. Krabs whispering a** 3 times, and Sponge grabbing Pat's chest, letting go, and having his chest flab down? I saw both in the theater the day it came out, and when it came out on dvd, I checked.

Yeah, I noticed the Mr. Krabs thing the second day it came out in theater.  I thought it was soo obvious, and that people were going to gasp or boo or whatever.  It sounded more like he was telling SB he was making a jacka** of himself, a couple times.  But I don't think anybody else in the theater noticed.  Of course, it may not have been @ss.

Didn't Sponge say "WE WORSHIP A DANCING PEANUT FOR CHRIST'S SAKE!" at one time or did I hear wrong? That's not bad or anything, but a lot of people would react to SpongeBob saying it.

Saw this movie in the $1 theater :D

I still laugh at it. But not as much that time since the kids were being noisy as poo.

Poo isn't noisy unless you step  in it.

I loved the movie. All 83 minutes of it is lol action. I'd normally rate it like I do the episodes, but this movie is so great that a mere rating is null and void. Get it?  ^_^

i absolutely LOVED the movie.Almost as much as i love twisty cone and cold stone in hurricane season.
My friend AJ keeps saying he's going to get it on dvd, but he's never seen to this day!
I still put it on in slow motion when it gets to the bit where patrick is dancing in tights.
