"The New Leaf" Preview
« on: July 16, 2006, 07:39:56 pm »
Apparently "The New Leaf" is airing July 26th in Australia, and I found a link to a preview on another SpongeBob website. It hasn't loaded all the way on my computer, but it seems pretty good so far.

I just saw "New Leaf" on the Karate Island DVD which just came out.

It was good, but not great.  An average season 4 episode at best.

Just out of curiosity, who was it written by?

I watched "New Leaf" again.  I think I liked it better the second time (a couple jokes I missed the first run-through.)  It's one of those episodes where Spongebob has almost no lines; the majority of the episode is focused on Mr. Krabs and Plankton.

Can't recall the writers, but I'm pretty sure it's many of the writers we've seen in some of the more recent season 4 episodes (some combo of Steven Banks, Luke Brookhiser, Eric Wiese, Tom King, Chris Mitchell, Casey Alexander.)  I'm pretty sure Paul Tibbitt wasn't one of the writers, I'm pretty sure I would remember that since he's one of the few writers from seasons 1-3 who still writes.

Yes!  I got to see it on TurboNick.  And it was very predictable.

"Plankton's Army" still wins for fewest Spongebob lines (4.)
In "New Leaf," he has 6.

I keep wanting to call it "THE New Leaf"......

Oh, good. Of the season 4 main writing... uh.. teams, I guess you would call it... They've wrote some of my favorite episodes.
