A year later...remembering Hurricane Katrina
« on: August 29, 2006, 05:16:41 pm »
On this day 1 year ago, at 9:38 A.M., the first levee broke in New Orleans, beginning the flooding that wiped out a lot of New Orleans. This flooding also hit other parts of Louisiana and also Mississippi, essentially wiping out whole towns and communities. Katrina, like 9/11, will never be forgotten. A moment of silence...

Thank you.

Timmy: It's official, this guy sucks. I wish he was somewhere else!
*Poof!*
Timmy: Where'd you guys poof him to?
*Both fairies give evil smiles*
April Fool: I never asked for this!
Jorgen: Shut up, or I'll have Chuck Norris roundhouse kick you in the face again!

Sadder than 9/11?

Nothing is as sad as that, they may be close, but 9/11 was worse

Death of Jesus?

but, on a lighter note, I already forgot about it. I'm sure that if I lived in a low-lying region, I might remember it more, but I live up on a hill where no flooding is possible. btw, alot of people in PA got flooded to hell and back.

You didn't say that, though.

I ate pizza on the eve of Katrina's terrible destruction. Coincidence? Maybe, maybe.

Aww... it was all over the news.  I feel so sorry for those people...

You guys should come up with your own top 10 most tragic events or something.
