It was on reddit before it was on /. :P

And nope. I tried to install it on a flash drive (just like my current mobile version of 1.5) and it crapped out. I need firefox at my school comp :/

It is out officially now. I am using it. FireFox is still read as spelled incorrectly in spell-check.

If you read the note, they talk about how what slashdot and other sites did was harmfull by directing tens or hundreds of thousands of users towards a single server, sending that one poor persons bandwidth costs through the roof. Never link directly to a file if a download script is in place to take advantage of a mirror farm.
